Sitia is known for its good wine and the excellent olive oil which can be attributed to the olive and grape cultivation in the area. A restored old windmill in the outer courtyard convinced.
Vai is the only natural palm beach which is available in Europe. After a short cooling we continue to Paleokastro the largest village of Sitia. Zakros is the 4th of the Minoan palaces of Crete which lies in the eastern part of the island.
