Description

Our trip begins in Heraklion, the capital of Crete. The first stop is in Archanes a small village south of Heraklion at the foot of the mountain Juchtas.

Further south the Minoan Good Bathypetro with the oldest and most well-preserved wine and oil press which still produced.

The monastery Epanosifi is one of the largest and richest of Crete. In the small museum of religious art can be seen icons, sacred treasures and manuscripts from the 18th century.

For “musical” entertainment ensure the village Choudetsi, which is known for its music festival which takes place 1 time in the year. Nikos Kazantzakis, the most famous writer of Crete. Through him the village Myrtia was very well known. You can visit his home which will be maintained by his family. Last but not least we visit Skalani. The residents here are concerned with the cultivation of olives and grapes.
